Wastepack Group (UK) has strengthened its position in the packaging waste and WEEE compliance sector by acquiring Integra Compliance schemes. Wastepack is one of the largest approved compliance providers for the UK packaging waste regulations.

A total of three compliance schemes are operating under Integra Compliance Ltd: Compliance Link, a packaging compliance scheme, SWS Compak, also a packaging compliance scheme and WEEE Link, a WEEE compliance scheme. Wastepack sees its own portfolio expand to 11 operating compliance schemes, including, among others, Nilwaste, Electrolink, both WEEE compliance schemes and Recycle Wales, a packaging compliance scheme.

Wastepack has reacted by emphasizing that Integra had enjoyed noticeable success over the year, offering low cost compliance to its members. Lynne Cullis, chief executive of the Wastepack Group, said: “This acquisition complements our existing businesses as its founding principles mirror out commitment to delivering best value and a very high level of service. We believe in the development of the compliance sector and our latest acquisition demonstrates our commitment to driving forward long term efficiency and sustainability for all obligated producers”.
