DMS 4.1 – Supporting both import simplification scenarios

Scenario 2 – Entry In the declarant’s records with goods presentation and periodic supplementary declaration (within 10 days)
You submit a new presentation notification each time goods are placed under a new customs procedure. This setup is ideal when your flows are predictable and involve multiple partners or administrations, such as bonded warehousing of not time-critical stock, followed by customs transit.

Scenario 3 – Entry In the declarant’s records with exemption of goods presentation and periodic supplementary declaration (within 10 days)
In this setup, your chain of declarations and procedures is traceable through one single administration. There’s no need to resubmit goods at each stage, as long as every movement is recorded, traceable and supported by a valid Audit File Inventory. Here, a single presentation notification applies at the start of the inbound process.
