Environmental compliance obligations are amongst the most complex trade compliance obligations. Worldwide, but even within the EU alone. Producer responsibility for WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment), Batteries and Packaging holds producers responsible for the costs of managing their products at end of life. The Environmental Producer Responsibility (EPR) directives are interpreted differently by countries. This results in local legislation per obligation that you must take into account.
What obligations apply to you and where do you stand?
Would you like to know exactly which obligations for WEEE, Batteries or Packaging your company must comply with? Or do you have doubts about the current degree of compliance with your environmental compliance obligations worldwide?
With the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) scan you get a complete and practical overview of all environmental obligations for WEEE, Batteries and / or Packaging in all countries where you put products on the market. The scan answers important questions such as:
- What environmental obligations does your company have?
- Do you meet all these obligations, in other words: are you compliant?
- What steps must be taken to become compliant?
Steps EPR scan
Environmental compliance is complex and requires a lot of information. With an extensive questionnaire we collect the necessary information about your company, products and the markets in which you operate. The steps that we go through with you to get a complete picture of your obligations and current organization are as follows:
- Kick-off session for determination information needs
- Scan of your current available data
- Report with recommendations
Information is "key"
The EPR scan starts with a kick-off session with the responsible persons within your company and our Environmental Compliance Specialists. In this session, we coordinate the information need and go through the questionnaire with you. After we have received all the necessary information, we start mapping the environmental compliance obligations for WEEE, Batteries and / or Packaging that arise from your business model.
Part of our EPR scan is to perform an extensive Data Scan. The purpose of this is to assess whether your data is complete and qualitatively in order. This way we know whether your organization is ready to meet your (new) reporting obligations. If this is not yet the case, we will guide you through the necessary steps you need to take to meet reporting requirements.
Report & recommendations
In the report we objectively describe which environmental obligations your company must meet. We also assess the current state of affairs:
- Which environmental registrations are already active?
- Have these registrations been set up correctly and are you reporting "compliant" to the current regulations?
For obligations that you are not yet fulfilling, we provide advice on the steps to be taken to ensure compliance for your organization. Pincvision carries out these steps for you and takes care of all additional obligations for you. In a joint process we help your company to meet all requirements.
