The VAT rate changes for Switzerland will be as follows. From 1 January 2018 until 31 December 2023, the Swiss rates are:
• Standard rate: 7,7 %
• Special rate: 3,7 % (accommodation)
• Reduced rate: 2,5 %
However, as of 1 January 2024, the following VAT rates will apply in Switzerland:
Standard rate: 8,1 %
Reduced rate: 2,6 % (accommodation)
Special rate for accommodation: 3,8 %
