Starting October 1, 2026, manufacturers and importers must ensure that product labels include both the name of the supplier (importer or local manufacturer) and the Commercial Registration (CR) number, in compliance with applicable technical regulations.
Compliance with these requirements will be monitored through the SABER platform, Saudi Arabia's product certification and approval system. Organizations that fail to meet these labeling obligations may face sanctions under the Saudi Product Safety Law and its implementing regulations.
For detailed information about which products fall within the scope of these requirements and specific implementation details, we refer to the SASO circular. This document provides the complete list of affected technical regulations and all implementation requirements applicable to your products.
If your organization supplies products to the Saudi market
You should review your current labeling practices and ensure that both the supplier name and CR number are clearly displayed on products falling within the scope of the relevant technical regulations before the October 2026 deadline.
Our specialists can support you through the SABER process and help ensure your shipments meet Saudi Arabia's updated requirements.
