The Dutch Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) has updated the tool for submitting Intrastat returns. This tool is used by companies that are obliged to submit Intrastat declarations in the Netherlands. An important update is that from now on it is also possible to read in data from your own administration.

How does IDEP+ read the data from your own administration?

First you have to map out the exact data that are requested for submitting Intrastat and combine these data into one file. CBS recommends using an Excel file that contains all the data requested. To make sure IDEP+ can read the data correctly, you need an import template. You can choose a predefined reading template prepared by CBS. In this case you have to adapt your own file so that the fields match this template. You can also choose to create your own template based on the layout of your own file.

Be aware! If you have an obligation for both Dispatch and Arrival and have these data in one file, then you should choose to use a multiple flow import template. Otherwise, you can use a regular template for one flow.
