In a recent development, the German Bundesrat has advocated for a two-year postponement of the mandatory B2B electronic invoicing implementation.
Originally set to transition gradually from 2025, with the majority of businesses adopting e-invoicing by 2026, the new recommendation pushes the complete transition to 2027. This decision aims to provide businesses with additional time to adapt to the new e-invoicing system, ensuring a smoother transition for all involved.
