Germany: BMF issued discussion document for mandatory eInvoicing

We have an important update regarding regulatory changes in Germany that may impact your business.

The German Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) announced that mandatory eInvoicing is expected to be introduced from 1 January 2025.

The requirement would apply for B2B domestic transactions for established businesses. This system would be in line with the VIDA proposal (non clearance model) and be compliant with the European eInvoicing standard. The consultation will end the 8th of May 2023.

We will keep you informed of any further updates.
