DMS 4.1 - Brussel extended the implementation time

Dutch Customs has held consultations in Brussels about the implementation period of DMS as of January 1, 2023.

This is a hard date for the introduction of the new data set (Appendix D), in accordance with the UCC. Unfortunately, there is no more slack in the planning for all parties. However, it has been achieved, that Customs NL itself may convert the datasets of the current GPA declarants (IIAA license holders) to Brussels during a transition phase. In practice, this means that Customs gives room to switch to DMS 4.1 between January 1, and July 1, 2023.

A transition scenario is created, in which companies are transferred during the stated period, so that there is no peak towards the deadline. The order is partly determined in consultation with representatives from the business. The DMS 4.0 planning for the current AGS declarants will remain as usual.

Pincvision is represented in the advisory committee ‘Overleg Douane Bedrijfsleven’ (ODB), regarding the transition from GPA to DMS. Do you have any questions, or can you use support in the transition of your processes to the new DMS? Please contact us. Our customs specialists are at your service.
