Enjoyable 4th edition of our Optimizing Supply Chain Event 2019

Last Wednesday May 15, we organized the Optimizing Supply Chain Event for the 4th time. This year, the event took place in Bunnik. We can state that it was an enjoyable event with many interesting topics.

Participants of the event were mostly Customs, Logistics or Supply Chain managers & directors: an excellent group of participants for this event. Our specialists shared their knowledge and expertise in an interactive manner on several subjects. Below you find an overview of the topics that were discussed during the event.

Free Trade Agreements & Origin

The first session was presented by our guest speaker Henk Hartman, Advisor & Consultant on international Customs & Trade compliance affairs at Hartman TCC, and Yuri Florentinus, Customs Compliance Manager at Pincvision.

During this session, the differences and the similarities between non-preferential and preferential origin rules were addressed. They explained the complexity of EU export- and non-EU destination Customs requirements and the risk of not fully meeting them. For many participants it was nice to get practical tips and advice on how to deal with these challenges.

ATA Carnets

After a short break where we could enjoy nice sandwiches and another cup of coffee, we continued with the session about ATA Carnets. Jolande van Ochten, Customs Compliance Origin Specialist & Lonneke Verberk, Team leader Export Documents at Pincvision, mentioned the challenges but mostly zoomed in on the benefits of the ATA Carnet which are less known to many. Next to this, practical examples and recent developments were addressed as well.

A delicious closing dinner at the end!

After these informative sessions, we had time for an informal chat and networking while enjoying a delicious dinner buffet.

All concluded, we look back at a very enjoyable event! It was nice to receive the positive feedback from our guests and we already look forward to organizing the Optimizing Supply Chain Event again next year! We hope you will join us!
