These new obligations already call for action: companies that begin reporting in 2025 must have their processes in place on time. CBAM affects not just your purchasing or customs department, but also finance, sustainability, and IT.
What does this mean for you?
As an importer, you will soon need to:
- Collect and report emissions data from your non-EU suppliers.
- Purchase CBAM certificates that correspond to the CO₂ emissions of your imports (starting in 2027, for goods imported in 2026).
Example: Importing steel from China? You must be able to demonstrate how much CO₂ was emitted during its production. Without that data, you risk delays, additional costs, or non-compliant reports.
CBAM is not a temporary measure, but a structural change that will permanently reshape international trade and compliance.
Why we partner with Dubrinik
At Pincvision, we closely monitor legislation and regulations in international trade. CBAM aligns closely with our compliance services but requires specific expertise in emissions data, calculations, and reporting.
That’s why we chose to partner with Dubrink, a specialist at the forefront of this new field.
“CBAM is closely connected to our trade compliance services, yet it requires its own distinct area of expertise,” says Rob Holtslag, Chief Commercial Officer at Pincvision. “That’s why we deliberately partnered with Dubrink. Together, we can continue to support our customers in this complex and rapidly evolving area with the same quality, reliability, and expertise they’ve come to expect from us.”
What this partnership means for you
Through our collaboration with Dubrink, we can now support you with CBAM compliance. Dubrink’s platform helps you to:
- Automatically collect and validate emissions data.
- Report via the European CBAM portal.
- Gain clear insight into your total CBAM costs.
This way, you stay in control of your processes, reduce administrative burdens, and continue trading with confidence under EU regulations.
“CBAM requires collaboration between departments, suppliers, and experts,” adds Marcel Duits, Chief CBAM Officer at Dubrink. “Together with Pincvision, we help companies take the right steps, not only to comply with the rules but to future-proof their organization.”
