Pincvision & SGS extended digital interface for Certificates of Conformity

Last week Pincvision & SGS extended their digital interface for Certificates of Conformity (CoC/inspection certificates), which makes it possible for Pincvision to request all CoC’s digitally for its customers with SGS. SGS is the world's leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company. After Saudi Arabia, a digital process is now in place for each country with a Product Conformity Assessment (PCA) program.

Via its automated solution “Export Documents in Control” Pincvision already processes large volumes of export documents on a daily basis. These documents, like a Certificate of Origin (CO) and EUR.1 certificate, are digitally attested by the Chamber of Commerce within the shortest lead times. Added to this process are now the inspection certificates of SGS, like SONCAP (Nigeria), KUCAS (Kuwait) and PVoC (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda et cetera).

How it works

Pincvision receives data from its customers which is automatically forwarded to our solution “Export Documents in Control”. According to the legal country requirements (or specific customer requirements) the right export documents are issued and digitally attested by the Chamber of Commerce. Some countries also require a CoC, like many African countries. Formerly this was a manual process. By the setup of a the digital interface of Pincvision this is now fully automated. This leads to significant benefits for our customers.

What are the benefits

Speed; Once the Certificate of Conformity (CoC) is drawn up by SGS, Pincvision receives a digital copy of the document from SGS to share with its customer. This improves the throughput time significantly. The CoC is returned within 4 hours instead of 1 working day.

  • Quality; Manual intervention to process the documents is minimized, as the invoice is used as data source with almost all information needed. As a result, the chance of errors is nil.
  • One system for all export documents; Since all export documents, including CoC’s, are now processed through Export Documents in Control, Pincvision ensures a uniform invoicing process.
  • Status overview; Because the CoC requests are now being processed through Export Documents in Control as well, customers can check the status via the customer portal, 24/7.
