Changes to Conformity Certificate Requirements for Exports to Kuwait

There have been important updates to the requirements for Conformity Certificates when exporting to Kuwait. This development brings significant improvements to the documentation process under the Kuwait Conformity Assurance Scheme (KUCAS).

What has changed?

Previously, the KUCAS Certificate of Conformity (COC) issued by SGS had to be printed on security paper. This process could only be completed by SGS itself or through Pincvision, adding an extra step to the export documentation process.

After extensive discussions between the local SGS office and the Public Authority for Industry (PAI), the requirement for printing on security paper has been officially eliminated. From now on, once SGS issues the KUCAS COC, we will receive a digital copy that will be forwarded to you in its original digital format.

Benefits of the update

This update simplifies the export process and reduces processing times, especially for shipments requiring minimal documentation. In cases where only the Certificate of Conformity (CoC) or additional Chamber of Commerce documents are needed, lead times will be significantly shortened as the CoC can be shared digitally, making it available more quickly. This improvement streamlines the process and ensures faster and more efficient handling of shipments.
