The standard VAT rate in Austria is 20% and there are two different reduced VAT rates of 10% and 13%.
As from May 2016 the VAT rate for hotel accommodation increased to the VAT rate of 13%. This increase will be cancelled, meaning that as from November 1, 2018 the reduced rate of 10% will apply to hotel accommodation again.
