Slovakia: potential delay in real-time invoice reporting law until 2025

We would like to inform you about the latest update from the Slovakia authorities regarding real-time invoice reporting.

The Ministry of Finance has declared that the public version of the bill on real-time invoice reporting (B2B and B2C) which was expected to be effective from 1 January 2024, is not yet available. The Ministry would like to give taxpayers at least 12 months for preparation, which may mean postponing the effectiveness of the law until 2025 due to the state of the legislative process and planned transposition of the upcoming Directive 'VAT in digital age'.

We understand the importance of staying up-to-date with regulatory changes and their impact on your business. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide you with any updates as they become available.
