Belgium to implement mandatory e-invoicing for businesses in January 2026

Belgium will introduce mandatory eInvoicing for B2B transactions from January 1, 2026, according to an announcement by the Belgian Minister of Finance. The system will be based on the PEPPOL infrastructure.

While more details on the eInvoicing system are expected, it's important to note that the mandatory eInvoicing initiative will only apply to resident businesses.
