Customs Specialist

Will you step – as an Customs Specialist – into our world?

We are looking for a new colleague who will join our Customs team in the short term for 32-40 hours.

The function of the Customs Specialist

Pincvision's Customs department anticipates and supports our customers' issues in the field of international customs legislation. Our vision is “Customs in Control”. We support our customers in implementing a Customs Control Framework and offer support services such as analyses, onsite Customs management and AEO support, helpdesk activities and HS classification. We use our IT solutions to properly perform our analysis services. For example, our automated GPA auditing approach is unique and our customer approach is pragmatic. You work in a team of (operational) specialists, each with his/her expertise in various areas. The activities of the Customs Specialist are mainly focused on performing scans, process implementations and (AEO) guidance. Supervising DMS projects will also become an important part of your duties. You also deal with issues that come in through our helpdesk and you support the daily operation with your knowledge.

Because our customers work internationally, the working language within our organization is mainly English.

How do you do that?

As a Customs Specialist you perform various tasks. You focus on long-term collaboration with international companies, where your work is focused on applying laws and regulations to the customer process. The focus is on analyzing and following up issues, performing (interim) Customs management tasks, writing reports (under supervision), providing (internal/external) presentations and delivering the most suitable solution. As a customs specialist, you are continuously engaged in deepening and broadening your knowledge of the matter and realize new solutions based on existing expertise. You are at your best when you are presented with an analytical issue, where a concrete result is expected. You effortlessly answer questions about origin, incoterms and dual use and you review AO-IBs together with the customer. You like to work (temporarily) at customers on location, where the activities are diverse and vary from reviewing declarations to Customs management activities. You work on various customer processes together with your team members, you like the variety that this offers and you are not afraid of the required flexibility and the planned insight that is required.

This is you

Furthermore, you are practical, you have a hands-on mentality, you are professional, representative, flexible and customer-oriented and you have an affinity with IT and analytical skills. Your spoken and written skills are strong to communicate with our international clients, both on an operational, tactical and strategic level.

Last but not least: You want to work at a company that focuses on 'the People'. This is exactly what the P from Pincvision stands for. We pay a lot of attention to our employees.

You also have:

  • Minimum HBO working and thinking level
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Customs legislation and regulations (including the UCC)
  • At least 3 years of work experience as a Customs Specialist
  • Knowledge and experience with Customs Declaration Systems
  • Professional command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing
  • Experience and knowledge of the Microsoft Office package and Microsoft Teams.
