UPDATE: ​Verification of Conformity Program for Morocco

UPDATE APRIL 28, 2020 - This program has been postponed until June 19, 2020 due to the COVID-19 crisis.

The program applies to a wide scope of products across 11 key categories, covering electrical products, construction products, toys, gas appliances, shoes & clothing, chemical products, vehicle parts and more. Nevertheless, this list is still under construction and hasn't been finalized yet.

Depending on the products, these will be checked in the exporting country or at the destination. The latter applies to products that are subject to specific technical regulations or mandatory Moroccan standards. The program mandates the issuance of a Certificate of Conformity for all regulated products consignments entering into the Kingdom of Morocco by traders through authorized inspection bodies in order to achieve a smooth customs clearance.

The following certified bodies are known to us and are authorized to perform inspections:

• Technischer Überwachungs Verein (TÜV)
• Bureau Veritas
