Ireland: next country to cut the standard VAT rate
The standard Irish VAT rate will temporarily decrease from 23% to 21% for a period of 6 months as from September 1, 2020.
The decrease rate will apply until February 28, 2021. In Ireland the standard VAT rate applies to a wide range of goods and services. All businesses will have to consider the consequences of the temporary new rate for the accounting/ERP systems!
