Pincvision Intrastat & VAT Event was a success
On Wednesday, March 4th the Pincvision Intrastat & VAT Event took place.
Hank Hermans, deputy director of the CBS, opened the event with a presentation about the CBS. He explained how the CBS is organized and what its main focus is. An important development is that the CBS is increasingly trying to improve its connection with businesses e.g. by better aligning its data collection process to the practice in businesses.
Hereafter, Willem de Jong, Statistical Researcher CBS, presented the CBS activities related to data collection for Intrastat. What is the purpose of Intrastat? How is it organized? and how is the CBS trying to make the administrative obligation less burdensome for companies. The participants were able to ask questions, which lead to an interactive session.
After a short break, Daniëlle van der Meulen - Idema, Sr. VAT Specialist Pincvision, continued the meeting with a presentation in which examples were given with respect to the reporting requirements for Intrastat and VAT in practice. Thijs Kienstra, Intrastat Analyst Pincvision, complemented these examples with practical situations of reporting requirements in the various EU countries.
After the informative program, the buffet was ready and the participants got the opportunity to talk with peers.
We want to thank all participants of the event once again for their time and valuable contribution to the discussions.
Feedback we received from the participants
The presentation of the CBS scored a 7.0, and the presentation of Daniëlle van der Meulen scored an 8.0
We are proud to share with you that all participants indicated that they would recommend visiting this event to others. Pincvision will organize another similar event, covering a different trade compliance subject. We will keep you updated regarding the next Pincvision Event.
