Italy to increase VAT rate from September 17!

Following the publication on September 16, into the Official Gazette, the Italian VAT rate increase will be effective from September, 17, 2011.

Italy will increase the standard VAT rate from 20% to 21%. We have been informed the official publication was today, September 16, which means the VAT increase will be effective from 17 September.

The reduced rates will not change.
